Best DMV to go to
I didn’t realize my ID expires next month. Hoping to start a job in 2 weeks. No appointments of course are available till the week I might start a new job.
Best walk-in dmv and time and day to go to it. Just try going to Massapequa (9:00am) and there was a 2 hour wait  didn’t have the patience to wait that long today!!

So annoying
No advice but maybe going on a Thursday night might work for you? I know the dmv by me in Bethpage has late hours on Thursdays

Do you have to update the license to be able to fly- or is yours already enhanced?
If you don't need to change the type of license-and you are a AAA member you can go to one of their office for the eye test. You get a code, I believe, and you can renew on line.
I think even if you go to DMV- you don't come out with a license. I believe you get a paper or temporary license- until it comes in the mail.....which you will also get if you renew online.
Is it that you need the eye exam?

ended up going and waiting at massapequa just to be told my birth certificate was not legible enough so I couldn't get my real or enhanced  yet it is the same condition as it was 10 year ago to get my marriage certificate and 11 years ago to get my passport!!
had to get the standard and have to now order my birth certificate from Florida and go back there to get the real/enhanced ID. at least I have till 10/2020 to do it. I thought I had only till 1/2020
HATE THE DMV!!

HATE THE DMV!!
The Crazy thing is perhaps the person at the window next to yours might have taken it.
When DH and I went to get enhanced licenses, on the same day... my person made me use my full middle name, even though I have never used my middle name...only initial......and my husband got to keep his middle initial on his license. It still torments me to this day!!!

yep wouldn't be surprised and the person i was dealing with and supervisor were rude and incompetent.
she told me I can just get the standard today and i said and i didn't want to pay twice so I wouldn't do that. To then having to wait for a supervisor who purposely made me wait 15 minuted when she was sitting there doing nothing but laughing and bullshitting. For me to find out i can pay standard then just pay the difference if come later on to get the real/enhanced one!
there is a reason why people hate the dmv its because the people that work there are assholes!!

Ridiculous. You wonder what kind of civil service test they give to hire so many workers there to act " that way".
