As on add on to the couple gift I always buy the bride some sort of ring holder for her new diamond.

Yes! A friend of mine did that for us, along with a matching picture frame and photo album. I love them all.

Subscription to a bridal magazine or a basket with bridal magazines in it (when I first got engaged, I bought every bridal magazine I could find within the first week!). An engagement ornament is also nice - you could have the date of the engagement personalized on it.
