He absolutely is my best friend. In everyway. I have more fun with him than with anyone else. 
Same here. It was an enlightening moment months back when he first confessed that I am his best friend too (he has a TON of friends - all close). I wouldn't have it any other way!

DH is my best friend, but I do have a girlfriend who I can confide in more girlie ways than I can with DH.

OF COURSE he is. To me that's the biggest requirement for a DH. I think your spouse should always be your best friend!
I still have my other best friends, but FH is my BEST BEST friend. He's going to be my husband. How could he not be my best friend?
