best place to check todays interest rate?
saw on the news this morning that it's expected to drop to 4.5% by summer and stay there for a while.. i know last thurs it was 4.85%.

mortgages... I actually just googled it, and google has a comparison tool.
They are LOW.

bankrate is good.
My broker sends me the rate sheet every day. I like to keep up with these things (even though I am not in need of a mortgage or refi).
Today was 4.625% 0 points 30 day lock 20% down (Jumbo and high priced past 417k mortgages are higher). Been that way for a few days now. I think Friday it went to 4.5% for a half day.

bankrate.com or go specially on to a bunch of different banks websites and check the daily rate.

us too... what even sucks ultra for us is our broker locked it in w/o even telling us WAY too early and our rate since expired... and apparently we can't lock in again at a lower rate and have to pay a fee

Pay a fee to get the lower rate? How much is the fee?
A lot of times the fee may be worth it to drop your rate. Depends on the fee.
