Re: Best place to go for
I know that most women wear the wrong bra size, but how's this for a fitting:
I went to Mary's Corsettiere (sp?) for a fitting before my wedding. I find that I get the best fit in a 42DD (yes, I'm curvy to say the least!)
They told me I should be wearing a 46DDD!!!!!!! I tried on a bra in that size and it was absolutely SWIMMING on me! They were trying to tell me that my boobs should be about a good 1/2" away from the underwire...
So needless to say, I've never had a good experience!

I bought my wedding day bra at Blums....... I wasn't fitted properly so it gave me fat back.......... I wound up not wearing it and they wouldn't take it back....... funny thing is while I was at my gown fitting another girl was also complainig that Blums didn't fit her properly either...nor would they allow her to return her purchase.......we joked about selling our Blums bras on e-bay
I didn't like Blum's that much either. Although I did end up getting my wedding bra there, all the woman did was look at the size bra I was wearing, then brought me one # size larger in a strapless long line style. That's it. No measuring or anything. Other people have had good experiences there with getting measured, and being helped to find bathing suits that were more flattering for them, but I've never been impressed by their service. I'm going to try Nordstrom's since everybody here says they do a good job.
MrsERod, which JCPenney did you go to?

Georgette's in Hicksville Nordstroms Mary's Corsetiers in Woodbury
I second Georgette's in Hicksville, I have gotten the most comfortable bra I own there. Another thing I like about that place is there is no pressure at all.
