Best place to rent a car in FL
I am flying in and out of 2 different airports in FL and need to rent a car. Should I just go to the rental car sites like Budget and Dollar, or is there is cheaper way to do this?
The key is that we are not returning the car to the place where we pick it up from.

go on any car rental site .hotwire, carrental.com and then go on priceline and offer them 10$ less than the lowest price you find

If you have an iphone download the priceline app. they have iphone deals that are crazy cheap. The 2x I rented in FL I got a standard car size for 100 for the month. Once was at Orlando and the other was West Palm

Re: Best place to rent a car in FL
The best way to rent cars is to make a reservation early so you have a guaranteed price. You then search as time gets closer because car prices actually tend to drop when getting closer to the date. You can then cancel and re-book for a lower price. I find the best days to find deals are Tuesday's. I will usually look on expedia for the current prices and then book through the company itself. You can usually find promo/coupon codes to get 10-15% off. I have often rented full size sedans for under $100 per week. Best of luck.

As pp said, costco has great deals. One perk you get when you book through costco is, you don't pay extra for the spouse. Some rental car companies charge extra for additional drivers.

Used Dollar for 7 nights over President's week and paid $107 total with tax for a standard size car. Couldn't beat it! You have to check everyday, and I found this rate about a week before (was previously $300 and $400). You can put in a different return location when you price the ressies out. We usually use Alamo exclusively, but Dollar worked out well. Plus with Dollar, I signed up for Express, and just walked from the plane to our car which was waiting for us in the lot. No checking in at a long counter.

Re: Best place to rent a car in FL
Which airport are you flying into. If it is MCO try mousesavers she has a lot of tips.
Otherwise I do well with alamo out of MCO. I go through costco. But you have to play around. Mix and match codes and ID#s. Mousesavers has tips on this. It works anywhere. You can mix costco codes with alamo coupons.
Keep watching it regularly. It often drops We'd or Thursday nights around 7 or 8. When I was looking a minivan for 8 days was $600+. I got it for around $250 including all taxes. Also check the sites as sometimes there are deals for returning to a different locations. Sometimes the rate can change in one hour time.

Flying into Tampa and out of Orlando. It's not related to Disney. The priceline app isn't allowing for different drop off location

It does not need to be related to disney. Check out mousesavers her tricks work anywhere. Costco and rental co coupons are probably your best bet.

Try budget rent a car, too. Companies in Orlando fight for business, so you should get a great deal with anyone. Don't prepay into something you can't cancel, in case you hate the car and want to switch carriers! Also, ask for a better/upgrade when you get there. I've had a lot of people get free upgrades. Don't forget ebates if you book online!
