Re: best potty for boys
We have a ring (elmo) and DS has difficulty when peeing on it. Pooping is ok, He will sit on it happily. His hands fit on the handles.
We also have the bijorn potty. I love this one. He can sit on it and the pee is deflected into the potty. I like it b/c the seat is one piece so his boy bits don't get caught. Now getting DS potty trained is an entirely other post. He is not potty trained yet. He turned 2 in August.

I am glad you posted this since I am wondering the same thing. They are potty training DS at daycare and I need to start at home

Re: best potty for boys
DS stands to pee (I have heard it is best to let them watch daddy or another male figure) a bunch to mimic them. For poop, we have an elmo ring too.
