In Your opinion what are the best diapers for boys?
My friend recommended Pampers swaddlers but she has girls. I would love to try Costco or something to save money but not at the expense of my babies obviously. So what do you think. I am an extracare member does it make sense to but at CVS or one of the big box stores like Wal Mart or Costco etc..

Re: In Your opinion what are the best diapers for boys?
IMHO Swaddlers, then Papmpers Baby dry worked best for us. Now that DS is older I also like Luvs and they are much cheaper. Cruisers always left DS very linty down there, but I know a lot of moms love the cruisers. At night I used Huggies Overnights from about 3 mos old til 1 1/2 - 2 yrs old.

Re: In Your opinion what are the best diapers for boys?
CVS diapers are awful, in my opinion. I use Pampers and Huggies on my son, he doesn't have a problems with either. I think the size of the diaper makes more of a difference than the brand. If the diaper is too small, it is going to leak. Otherwise, I am ok with either brand.

IMHO i feel that you get the best deal at cvs for Huggies/Pampers.
As for what kind of diapers... we hated Pampers NB size. So we used Huggies. But now that ds has gotten bigger, i think i prefer Pampers.

Re: In Your opinion what are the best diapers for boys?
We loved Swaddlers and switched to Cruisers. I did notice that for our DS, we had to switch sizes before he hit the weight limit on the box - like move up when he was the lower weight on the next size or the poops leaked up his back. (when he was an infant he only pooped once a day, but it was HUGE )
I tried Target diapers, which were a disaster. I also tried Baby Dry, Huggies and Luvs. I always came back to the pampers cruisers. I was willing to pay a little extra not to have to deal with a leaky diaper. If you aren't home, it's a real PITA to deal with, JMO.
ETA - I never tried Costco because it is a huge box to go through if you don't like them, but I think someone on here said they will take them back opened if you are unsatisfied with them. I love the Costco wipes, though.

Re: In Your opinion what are the best diapers for boys?
I tried them all too and always came back to pampers. Your best bet would be to buy one package of each brand and try them out and see for yourself. You'll go through them so fast.
ETA - The best deal on diapers, believe it or not, is BRU when they have a $5 off coupon. You can also use your manufacturer on top of that. At least it used to be that way.

Re: In Your opinion what are the best diapers for boys?
We've tried quite a few brands and have always loved the Swaddlers. The only thing is that once he hit size 2, we put him in 2-3 to sleep at night.

Re: In Your opinion what are the best diapers for boys?
DS has ALWAYS worn Huggies. We tried Pampers in the beginning, and HATED them. So we have stuck with Huggies. CVS has great sales on them most of the time!

Just to let you know, CVS is much better. They let you use manufacturer coupons, plus sometimes they give you coupons and they have deals like spend $20 in pampers and get $10 ECB. So then you have a $10 coupon to use for whatever you want or for the next time you buy diapers.

Re: In Your opinion what are the best diapers for boys?
I loved swaddlers for DS and then cruisers! To me they are the softest and arent too bulky.
But they are pricy so we recently switched to Luvs (buy at BJs) with no problems! They arent as soft but still good and hold his business. And DS has never had a diaper rash after 11 months!
I used CVS but wasnt crazy about them, I would buy them again if it was BOGO but thats all.
For NBs I would probably start with swaddlers and then as htey got older try a more generic brand.
ETA: with Luvs or Pampers, I have never had a middle of the night leak since he was 8 weeks old! And DS has diapers that must weight 2 lbs in the morning!

Re: In Your opinion what are the best diapers for boys?
As a newborn - Swaddlers.
1st Year - I switched to huggies, tried Luvs (didn't like them). I never tried the sizes under 4 of White Cloud (sold only at Walmart) but I swear by their quality and definitely their price.
ETA: I did use Huggies Supremes sometimes at night. WHen he was younger and I guess between diaper size we had a few night soaks.

Re: In Your opinion what are the best diapers for boys?
I used the Swaddlers then the Baby Dry. I started using the Huggies Overnight but my son seems to have sensitive skin and gets diaper rashes from switching diapers. I hated the Cruisers on him for the same reason.

Swaddlers and then Cruisers.
I hated the Baby Dry - they got too hard when wet.
I loved swaddlers and wish that they made them in size 6!!

Re: In Your opinion what are the best diapers for boys?
I knew I would get so many different answers. Ok so I think based on what most of you said-I will stick with Pampers Swaddlers for the beginning(I have 1's and 2's) then if need be switch it up.

I've only used pampers swaddlers and 7th generation (not cheap, leaks once and a while, but great in preventing diaper rash).... Eryk is a 7th gen baby

Re: In Your opinion what are the best diapers for boys?
I tried a lot of them for my son. IMO the best for newborns was the Huggies Gentle Care..I just loved how soft they were, and they worked great, then he grew out of the sizes they came in.
Now, like the commercial for Luvs..I have gone to the bargain bin after the love affair of fancy has settled and buy BJ's brand diapers. They work great for me.
I use huggies overnights for the nightime long haul.
