Best time to Book Flights?
Our flights just became available for our trip this summer. I would like to book them tomorrow, but my DH thinks we should wait it out to see if we can get a better rate closer to our trip.
Thoughts?

I always book at opening and that seems to be the cheapest

Especially on Southwest because those cheap Wanna Get Away fares go fast.

If you’re trying to fly JetBlue or Southwest book it now. You won’t find another price drop with those airlines so it’s best to book once those travel dates are first released. If you’re trying to fly Delta or American then you may want to wait and price watch but the closer you are to the date the worst seating options you may get ie:!dreaded middle seat.

I always found that I book too early and the prices seem to drop after I book, just my luck. Our flight to Orlando on JetBlue dropped a lot about 3 months prior to our flight. I was able to adjust it and get some sort of credit from JetBlue (other airlines won't do that), however I could have saved over $400
