Bestfriend needs help (5 weeks Pregnant)
I'm not pregnant yet, but I'm always on the TTC board. My BF is 5 weeks pregnant and she can't stop throwing up and she has a slight fever. She called the doctor and waiting for him to call back. Is there anything I can tell her to do? Could it be morning sickness or a stomach virus? Please help! She is feeling terrible, and I feel so bad for her. Thank you!

Re: Bestfriend needs help (5 weeks Pregnant)
throwing up is prob pg related... she can take tylenol for the fever but no advil, lots of fluids so she doesn't dehydrate and she should make a doc appt.

Morning sickness usually doesn't come with a fever. She prob has a tummy virus.
I wouldn't take anything until she hears from the doc, but tell her to try to drink/eat something that appeals to her right now.
Gatorade, flat ginger ale, coca cola, may help settle her tummy.
For me saltines, toast, and water make me puke more.

How high is her fever? If it is over 102 then she should go to emergency
I hope she feels better soon!

Sounds like she has a virus. There's one going around. I had the same symtoms when I had it.
She just has to ride it out. It should only last a day or 2. Just rest and drink fluids when she can. I was able to eat toast towards the end of the day.
