Beta and progesterone level
My first BETA was 137 taken on Wednesday. My second BETA was taken today and it was 376. Because it doubled, I am thinking that so far so good. The problem is that my progesterone level is 15 today. Isn't that really low for a pregnancy?? It was a 5 originally and am on progesterone now twice a day. Anyone else have a low progesterone during pregnancy and had a positive outcome? If you don't mind sharing your numbers??
Also, I am going in for a sono next wed which would be at 5 weeks post iui...is that the norm??
Sorry, just a bit nervous and need some reassurance!

Re: Beta and progesterone level
If the Dr didnt tell you it was low i wouldnt worry about it. If it goes below 10 then id start to worry. Congrats!

Re: Beta and progesterone level
It doesn't sound super low.. The reason you see so many people with very high progesterone is because with IVF, PIO makes your progesterone super high.

Re: Beta and progesterone level
When I was PG with my DS, my level was 15 on beta day. It dropped down to 6 when I was 6w and my DS is now 15 months old.

i def def DEF 100000% would NEVER go on PIO just to "Ease your mind"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i cannot stress that enough. you do not need to be overmedicated to ease your mind. that is besides the fact that PIO is pure awful...
that being said, 15 is OK. its not spectacular but its not too low for pregnancy either. as long as you are on supplementation it should be fine. the number itself won't really change from supps or crinone, but the progesterone will get to the uterus where it is needed most. low progesterone is very common in early pregnancy, esp. IVF or IUI pregnancies, so as long as it's being monitored, you are on supplementation and your doctor isn't concerned, i wouldn't stress over it.

Re: Beta and progesterone level
Like a PP said, I wouldn't worry if the Dr didn't say it was low. If it was low they probably would have adjusted your meds.
