beta levels

3 weeks post D&C and mine are at 10... i don't exactly know what this means but the nurse said it was "bad"

can someone explain?

i have to go again on monday to get retested

eta: i misheard the message, my beta was 54 not 10

i would speak to the Dr. not the nurse... its impossible for that # to be bad... anything less than 5 is considered negative... so youre only a few away!!!

I wouldn't think a 10 was bad you're not far from it being down all the way.

i think it might be b/c they expect beta to drop very fast after D&C. For example, if it was a natural mc, beta of 10 on week 3 would be good. But for D&C, I "think" it should drop faster. On the other side, your body might need more time, which is normal.

I don't think 10 is bad. It took mine a month to go down to 0 and the nurse and OB told me that was normal. I've had friends hit zero between 2 and 6 weeks.
