Omg so funny! I just had surgery and it hurts to laugh but I couldn't stop reading this!!!! Sent it to dh at work and he said he was crying he was laughing so hard!

I remember they had something called Olean or Olestra a few years back- they were using it in diet Potato Chips and Doritos for a while. It was like a fat substitute that caused a large percentage of the population to get the runs, etc.
I tried it and it never affected me, but apparently it affected a lot of people. I think they stopped using it.
This reminds me of that.
I had tried those chips, too. No issues. I guess my stomach is made of steel. I almost thought these reviews were a joke- I'm so curious, but I don't think I'm willing to tempt fate.

So, shortly after reading this, I went downstairs, and one of the teachers, as part of their cooking activity, was giving out gummy bears, from a huge ziploc bag! I almost cracked up, and certainly didn't take any, even though they were probably the kind with sugar.

Oh, I tried those once. It was horrible. Much like the description of the guy with the penny from 1982. I can't eat Olestra. I remember laying on the bathroom floor crying after I ate a small snack size bag of those olestra Doritos and it was pure hell.
