BF-ing question: Pain AFTER nursing?
I have been having sharp aching pain after nursing the past couple of days. Today was so bad that it was hard to put DS against my chest to burp him without crying. I don't feel any lumps or see any red areas. The pain is not by the nipple but under the breast and on the sides and deep. I tried taking a shower with warm water. It helped a little, but I am not looking forward to BF-ing again. I was wondering if this is something I should be concerned about enough to call the doctor. I have an appoint with my OB on Wednesday anyway, but was wondering if this is something that is normal or warrents a call? WWYD?

I used to get this in the beginning. I have no idea what it was, but it went away after a couple of months.

me too, I took motrin which helped. could it be thrush?.. I'd ask the ob to check it out to be safe.

I used to get that too. I was told it is from the breast refilling. Not sure how true it is but I did notice it would happen after DC nursed a lot!
