bf mommies - frozen milk/fussy question

do you notice if your child is any fussier after getting a bottle of previously frozen bm as opposed to refrigerated or straight from the source. the last two times ive given my son frozen bm (thawed in fridge), he's been really worked up and seems gassier than usual. it doesn't have a foul odor, so i dont think that its bad milk..just not sure what's going on.

has this ever happened to you? tia

I thought that frozen milk can only be warmed up in warm/hot water and shouldn't be put into fridge to defrost first? Not sure, but I believe that is what I read.

I read you can defrost bm in fridge for 24 hrs.

Yes I notice a difference no matter how I defrost, but my babe only likes the breast anyhow.

you can defrost it in the frig, but you have to use it within 24 hours.

I haven't noticed a difference when DD gets previously frozen BM. Maybe you just ate something in that batch that didn't agree with him?

It could have been something you ate the day you expressed that milk.

I personally do not freeze my milk...I am always five 5oz bottles ahead of each feeding and just continue to maintain my 25oz of back up at all times...

ETA: And this is bc of all the problems that occur after freezing...
