BF Moms: ? about breast pads

Will my breasts eventually stop leaking or am I going to have to wear breast pads the entire time I'm BF'ing?

My breasts still leak a lot, everyday, and we're now 5 weeks into BF'ing.

Just wondering what to expect. TIA!

I think everyone is different, some leak more than others. I only leaked a tiny bit in the beginning and then never again (I was very lucky). But I think once your supply regulates itself it should slow some. You are doing great!!!

I've been EBFing for almost 7 months. I still wear pads to work just in case, but I probably don't need to. Your supply regulates around 3 months. You may stop leaking by then.

It should eventually stop. I have been BF for 9 months and don't wear pads anymore. I think I stopped around 5 months, although the leakage stopped before then.

It differs for each woman & sometimes each child. With DD, I wore nursing pads through the whole second half of my pregnancy because I leaked so much & I then I needed them for the whole first year I nursed her (I BFed for 2 years, but stopped leaking after 1). This time, I never needed pads during pregnancy & I stopped wearing them regularly when DS was about 8 weeks old. Now I only leak at night & sometimes from the opposite side when I'm feeding DS.
