BF Moms, how much milk did you freeze before going back to work?
I have about 55 bags of 2.5 oz to 4 oz bags, mostly 2.5 oz to 3 oz. so about 150 oz.
I am working 3 days a week, so the rest of the time I will nurse. He seems to take 4oz bottles every 5 hours or so.
I just want to use this stash to supplement if I don't pump enough.
Do you think this is a good stash?

You've been pumping away, huh!? That's great! I only pump once a day and still have a few wks before I go back - but I only have about 100 oz in the freezer.

Thats a great stash. If you keep pumping- even on your days off- you can probably keep contributing to it without having to use it for awhile. I was a pumping/BFing machine when I first went back to work.

Okay, I will keep pumping on my days off too. In the beginning it was hard, bec Gavin needed to be held 24/7, but now he can sit in his infant sit for a while, while I pump.

I would say that is plenty. I don't know how much I have in my freezer but it is a lot. I started work this week and I have been pumping more than she has been eating while I am at work so I am only adding to my stash and not taking away. I just freeze the new and feed DD the old so that when I stop BFing I will have milk to continue to give her.

I went back to work at 8 weeks and had frozen about 125 oz. I had some milk issues when I iniially went back to work (due to stress I think). I had to use some then but am back to saving a few ounces a day. I say save as much as you can. I lay the bag flat - it gives me more storage in the freezer.

No problem!  Actually, I lay it flat to freeze and then I line the frozen bags up. They are in order by date and my mom and DH know to take the oldest first. DH calls it "my library of milk"

I think that is more than enough. I layed them flat too and grouped them by month so I am always using the oldest first. I also have a deep freeze freezer so they last for much longer.

I had about 50 oz. DS is 4 1/2 months and I still have about 30 in the freezer
