Bfing and going back to work ? am i introuble
I go back the day after thanksgiving and I only have 5- btwn 2-4oz bags in freezer.. I been having trouble with DD drinking from breast, so when ever i have a bottle pumped she drinks it. Plus i have difficulty pumping during day b/c my DD crys if not held.
I think im going to have to give formula when i go back to work, or stop bfing  Im soo stressed, my face is breaking out with what feels like hives.

I know that it can be stressful but I want to throw this out there for you...
See all the times you can't pump because you have to hold her...that will change at work because during those times you will be free to pump as often as you want during work. I used to Bring home a lot more milk during the week than I think I made during the weekends.

if you're committed to sticking with atleast soem BM, you can supplement with formula when you go back to work. If you need to go to all formula, that's fine too. You have to do what works best for you and your family and keeps you as sane as possible.

Im a xray/mammo tech, I have a schedule of patients that I have to do exams on and i work for a very busy office. So the only time i will be able to pump is on my lunch break which is only 30 mins. Plus no place to pump really, Ill have to do in my car.

I'm sorry it will be so difficult for you to pump. I know I found it much easier to pump while I was at work (no baby to worry about) and was always able to pump plenty for DS to drink.
I say keep an open mind -- don't stress one way or another. If you can only pump once a day try to do it earlier because your supply is highest in the morning. If you have to supplement with formula, that's just the way it goes. Your baby will be fine with the formula and hopefully you will still be able to provide at least a few pumped bottles.
My advice is to relax -- going back to work is stressful enough -- you've already given your baby more breastmilk than most babies get and have gotten her off to a good start. She'll be just fine!

If you put DD is an infant seat right in front or next to you while you pump, will that work? Talk to her while you do it, it will help with your milk too!

i wish.. she just screams, what can i say she loves her mommy
ETA : shes sitting on my lap now, and typing w/ one hand== i tried pumping this way-- she freaks out.

As of August 15th, NY Labor law has protections for nursing mothers who want to express breast milk in the workplace.
Specifically the new law requires employers in NY to provide employees with reasonable unpaid break time or to permit employees to use paid break time to express milk. The law also obligates the employers to make "reasonable efforts" to provide private work spaces for this purpose.

Since having DD#2 I have been back at work for 4 weeks. I pump 2 times a day and get enough for 3 bottles. Some days she also gets one bottle of fomula while Im at work, I just can not stess about pumping at home during my limted free time since I have a 2 year old as well. However I BF her on the weekends all day without any supply issues
If you can push for a 15-20 minute break in additon to lunch that should be good. If not maybe you can do lunch and then pump in the car on your drive home? I know it sounds crazy but they make a car adapter and it can done! If not dont stress about it, just do the best you can!

I bought the car adapter and have a handsfree bra.

sometimes I nurse DD on one breast and pump from the other. It works sometimes but its up to the baby. I know the stress-I have been trying to build my supply/stash too.

ITA. I am on a scheduled pumping routine at work. On the weekend, I am totallly off track. I don't pump as much.
