Bfing and supplementing
My milk supply has majorly decreased since I got the flu and my AF for the first time pp. OB says to bf often and it will return. Well, its not happening. I have a very frustrated baby on my hands. I feel like I am starving him. Anyway, can someone recommend me a formula so supplement with. I know nothing about formula and I am very upset to have to start supplementing. I feel like i have failed in someway because I didn't make it to the year mark.
Also how much do you give and if you mix it with the little breast milk you have. I am so confused and upset and I feel like I have no where to turn for advice. I need guidance please.

U can give the enfamil or the smilac.
When i used to put half and half in,.
I would 2ounes of Bm and 2ounce of formula.
Or if u want to save the breast milk do one once of bm and 3 ounces of fm.
How many ounces does he get in a bottle.
If u keep it up it will come back your supply try pumping after feeding him too and every 3 hours. See if that helps.

when i bfed my peds had me supplement with Enfamil lipid with iron. They said it was the closest to Breastmilk.

No guidance on formula, but try taking Fenugreek to bring your supply up. Also make sure you're drinking lots of water.

I am BF now and I supplement with Similac Advance with Iron.
