BFing moms - clogged duct/mastitis question
The top of my left breast is rock solid and painful. It happened last night. I have had clogged ducts before, this is not the same - its literally a quarter of my breast. I have tried nursing and nursing and pumping a bunch of times, but nothing seems to bring relief. Could this be mastitis? I don't feel feverish, and the area is not hot. Has anyone ever had anything like this?
I am wondering if I should call my dr?

i am not a doctor but if the skin isn't red and hot, and you don't have a fever it's probably not mastitis yet - but can quickly turn into that.
try warm compresses and massaging the area in a hot shower, that is what worked the best for me - and if it starts to get red definitely call your OB ASAP.
