BFing moms and cereal
I am looking forward to starting cereal soon except for the part where I am going to have to start pumping. I really hate pumping! I had a clogged duct and an infection once and the doctor said that the baby's sucking is the best thing for your milk flow so I havent pumped since and I barely even get engorgement anymore.
Anyway, how do you work it out? Pump a bottle to use for the whole day of cereal?

why would u have to pump? There is no need to mix the cereal with bm you can use juice or even water. I find that if u use bm the consistency of the cereal starts to change while you are feeding DC. After a while the bm starts to break down and the cereal gets very soupy.

I used water with Julia's cereal, added a little apple sauce to it also.

I just hand expressed BM into the bowl each morning. The first few times were tricky, but I became a 30 second pro after the first week.
you really only need a small amount, I could not see washing the pump every morning for that.
