BFing moms: question re: poop
DS is 4 weeks old and is EBF. Sorry if this is TMI, but recently he went from having yellow poop to very green poop. Everything I've read says poop in BF babies should be yellow and seedy, which it had been. Now, I'm a little concerned that he has had green poop for the last several days.
Does anyone have any idea why poop would change color? Did anyone else have a similar experience?

Re: BFing moms: question re: poop
i think it's normal. DS sometimes has greenish poop. maybe it has something to do with what we eat? i don't think it's anything to worry about

I went through this with my DD. I read it could be a lot of things (nothing serious) but I called her ped. and they said that as long as it is not black, they are not concerned about the color.

Re: BFing moms: question re: poop
i've read that green"ish" poop could be a sign that your baby is getting more of the foremilk than the fatty hindmilk... but i would think if your baby is comfortable otherwise, than you probably don't have to worry....

Re: BFing moms: question re: poop
That is fine and will pass sooner or later. It means he is getting more foremilk. Try feeding on one breast for a longer period of stiem so he can get the more fatty milk at the end. It worked for my kiddies that way.
