BFing moms that went back to work....
....I need your help!!
DD was bottle feeding and BFing when I had a hard time with BFing. I was using a nipple shield to help us. Now that we got the hang of BFing I no longer need the shield and have been bottle feeding less, but still using them for when I have to leave her with someone, or I'll try to give her one bottle a day.
Now she wants NOTHING to do with the bottle. I'm thinking of switching to Dr. Brown's bottles. Do you think they work better?? I was using Platex Nursers and Avent and she was fine with them....but now she hates them.
Any advice would be so helpful.
Thanks.

I go back to work in two weeks and EBF. We have been giving DD BM in Dr. Brown bottles since she was 2 weeks old and haven't had any problems so they are worth a shot!

DD is EBF (although since she was 8 wks I've been pumping & giving her bottles). She's had no problem at all w/ the Dr. Brown's bottles; although I thought she'd like the wide neck bottles that seemed more like a breast & she hated those.

Re: BFing moms that went back to work....
Honestly, we are in a loosing battle with dd right now. She HATES the bottle. Put up such a struggle the other night that she started choking. I freaked out and took her from dh. I BF her and the bottle was on a tray next to us on the couch. She was totally giving it the evil eye. I don't know what to do anymore. She did really well about 3 weeks ago. Would take it no problem for DH. But now he has been getting home from work later. We have been using Dr. Brown's wide neck. I don't think it has anything to do with the nipple, I think she just knows it's not the real thing. My ped. keeps telling us to be persistent. But I don't want her to choke over it!
