BF'ing Moms who pump at work
I will be going back to work next week and plan to pump once during the day. I have been exclusively pumping since DS was born, but wanted to see if anyone has any tips for pumping at work. Someone is letting me use their office during lunch hour, but any advice would be appreciated.

I'm not sure what type of tips you're looking for, but here goes...
pack your pump bag the night before - there are so many parts and you might forget something if you rush during the morning. Also carry a spare valve (I think that's what it's called - the little white disc thing)
wear clothing that allows easy access but still keeps you somewhat covered - you won't feel so exposed
I always brought along a washcloth or paper towel so I could wipe everything down. Usually I would wash it before repacking the bag but if I didn't have time, it would stay cleaner this way. Also, I packed all the parts in a ziploc - they stay cleaner and so does the bag.
If there's no clock in the room, make sure you have a watch.
If you have any specific questions, let me know

Re: BF'ing Moms who pump at work
I left my pump at work and carried the cooler portion back & forth on the train. Eliminates the chance I'd be missing a part.
When I used it, I left it in a drawer (to reduce the noise it makes while pumping).
Definitely have a towel/paper towels near you for cleanups. It was amazing how I could pump with one hand & type emails with the other. Next thing I know the bottle was overflowing.
I would usually wear a loose shirt, move my bra & pump under my shirt for more privacy.
Drink fennel tea to increase milk supply
Have bottled water on hand.
If you're taking a train, have a manual pump in your bag JUST IN CASE you're delayed. You can always hit the skeevy bathroom & hand express if you're really in a jam.
Good luck! If you have any questions, feel free to FM me too.

How is the new schedule going?
Have water on hand. It is said that if you look at a photo of your baby it helps with milk let-down.

Re: BF'ing Moms who pump at work
Thanks everyone. The new schedule is going good. I'm starting the pump at 11:30 AM tomorrow hoping to eliminate it by the end of the week. No decrease yet, so it looks promising!
I'm nervous that I might forget something at home and not be able to pump at work. Unfortunately, I can't really pack the night before, because I need to pump in the morning.
