BFP and totally shocked - not really parenting related
I was floored to get a BFP today.
Was anyone else totally shocked when they got theirs? When I was pregnant with DS, before I took the test, I KNEW something was up..... I had so many signs.
This time, I just feel crampy - like I'm going to get my period.
Did anyone experience this - lots of symptoms with one pregnancy and almost none with another? And did both work out ok? Wondering if I feel "less" pregnant becuase it might not be going well.....

I did not feel pregnant in the beginning with this pregnancy, I just equate it to the fact that I know what it's like now to REALLY feel pregnant, like huge and uncomfortable, so the beginning was nothing this time around! Congrats!!!

Yay! Congratulations!!!
Both times I also knew something was up....no surprises for me.....yet
ETa: Is your first a girl ? With DD I had many more symptoms than with DS. Those female hormones defintiely made for a much different, symptomatic pregnancy.

Re: BFP and totally shocked - not really parenting related
Ive only been pregnant once...with DS and before my BFP with him, I had NO symptoms, just kept running to the bathroom, tampon in hand bc I thought AF had arrived, only to find nothing. This went on for like a week, before I tested. I had a perfectly happy, healthy, uneventful, symptom free pregnancy.
Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Congrats!
I was and still am shocked, 8 weeks later.
I knew when I spotted instead of getting my AF cuz the same thing happened with DS. Took a test the next day, and helllooo pink lines...I almost . But other than that, I haven't been having many symptoms, besides nausea.

How exciting!!!! All of my pregnancies were a little bit different. This time around I had no symptoms until 6-7 weeks when I started with really bad nausea, which I did NOT have with my girls' pgs
Congratulations!

Thanks ladies.... I guess every pregnancy really is different!
I think I will be in shock even when a new DC is here.

Re: BFP and totally shocked - not really parenting related
I was pretty shocked to get my BFP this time. I had no symptoms except for cramping. With DS I started having symptoms (thought I didn't realize they were PG symptoms) around 6DPO.
Congrats!

Re: BFP and totally shocked - not really parenting related
This pregnancy was a shock to me. I didn't feel many symptoms like I did with DD. I was tired, but I blamed that on getting back into my exercise routine and being outside much of the day cleaning up the yard (it was Fall).
It took about a week after my BFP (around 6 weeks) to start feeling m/s. It went away at 10 weeks, which was much earlier than when I was pregnant with DD, and I worried that things weren't going well. I tried to maintain a positive attitude since nothing else was happening but boy was I relieved to see that baby on the ultrasound at 13 weeks.
I know each pregnancy can be different but I'm a little shocked at how different my pregnancies have been so far.
Good luck and Congrats!!

WOW! i couldve written this myself. We were NOT planning #2 right now but look at as a blessing, after the initial shock wore off. I knew and was planning Alexandra and felt all the signs with her. Now Dh and I was in shock to get a BFP for baby 2. I felt nothing still dont just tired but that is from work and my 19month old lol When the test read pregnant we were shocked and blood work came back + too. I go for my sonogram tomorrow. Good luck!!! I know how u feel but sure it was just not on your mind and we al just keep doing our daily buiness and busy. Now that you know it may change your body and you will pick up on the signals more. Good Luck!!!
