Bidding on Baby Einstein DVD's on Ebay - how do I know I'm not getting fakes?
I want to be sure I'm not getting dvd's that someone copied from the original when I bid. Is there a way I can tell if what I'm bidding on is the real thing?

Seller feedback is usually a good indicator. I recently sold my 15-DVD box set of Baby Einstein DVD's on ebay because neither of my kids watched them!

I bought the set on Ebay. It was the one with the chinese/american language version. I had no problems.

subtitles or can you default to the English language from the DVD?

Do you happen to know what is a good price for non-fake sets? Some are as low as $19.99 for a 22 dvd set which I feel are probably copies and some are as high as $60 which could be knockoffs but maybe not. My dvd player has a hard time playing knockoff dvd's which is why I was asking.

I paid $40 for a set of 20 on ebay. But, they are most def. knock-offs. You can just tell usually if it ships from a foreign country. One of the disc is in SPANISH! Anyone want it? It's the Numbers Nursery. FREE.

I bought a set off of ebay. They must be knock-offs because they were only about $35 for the whole set. There is an option for language preference at the beginning of each DVD (not sub-titles). They work fine in my machine. Check the feedback from other buyers before placing your bid. Also only buy if they give a money back guarantee.
p/s - mine came from China.

Thanks for the tips - it's just that I'm nervous they won't play on my DVD player. I had a problem with another seller once where I bought something, was told it was authentic, etc, turned out it wasn't and when I went to email them for a refund they were GONE - deleted the account. I tried finding them on my own but the address they gave me was not real. So I like to be careful now.

I got horrible fakes from China. The seller was mass-child-favor. Don't use him!
ETA: He had mostly positive feedback too. Poor people probably didn't realize they were pirated DVD's. One of mine worked once & then broke, the other one makes a horribly loud sound when played, so they are both useless. You can tell by the cover they are copies.
