Biden one year in-how’s he doing?
Looking for honest feedback. And please, try to resist mentioning his predecessor.

It sucks that he hasn't been able to accomplish more than he wanted to b/c of the 2 "Democrats" that keep holding things up.

Yup. Can’t think of one thing he’s accomplished that has benefited my family.
Covid is worse.
Border is non existent.
Country is still divided.
Inflation.
Supply chain issues.
I could go on and on.

I am not happy with his performance so far, nor did I think I would be so I'm not surprised.

Not very well is putting it politely. It is almost like we don't even have a President. The whole country is in a free fall.

Re: Biden one year in-how’s he doing?
You won’t hear anything negative from his supporters. Everything listed will be it’s not his fault. Thank god for the 2 “democrats” that have some sense. Changing the rules to suit your agenda is not a good idea. If it were the happen it would open us up to no checks and balances as both sides will use it. As for BBB it will only make the inflation problem worse. It is already going to get worse before it gets better.
As for his performance….. So much for shutting down the virus Unifying the nation? Nope Financially I am worse off because of the ridiculous inflation. Everything costs me more and even though I haven’t taken a hit in salary I have less money. My 401k and my kids college funds are down.
I can’t even get start on the VP and the dumpster fire that she is. If something happens to him and we are stuck with her as the President we are in trouble!!
So, my family is no better off and probably a little worse off than a year ago.

Re: Biden one year in-how’s he doing?
I don't want to get into it with anyone and I know I'm not going to change anyone's mind. I'm replying in case someone else feels the same way so they know they are not alone.
I'm frustrated with him, but I understand that he inherited a disaster and things will take time. I agree that this is not the place to analyze what Trump did or didn't do but it's impossible to assess a presidency without putting it in the context of its starting point. And it was terrible, as it has been for all three modern Dem presidents, in different ways.
The economy is booming. Biden has created more jobs than Trump and Bush's 12 years combined. It's the clearest repudiation to trickle down economics yet. They don't work. Put money in the pockets of the people and they will buy. Give to to corporations and they will enrich themselves. The Rescue Plan and Infrastructure bills were big wins.
He has managed major problems deftly. When supply chain issues rose and ports were backed up, he acted quickly by meeting with and putting pressure on the appropriate parties and goods began to flow again. Shelves are full and holiday gifts were delivered on time according to the numbers.
Inflation, including the rise in gas prices, is a byproduct of the booming economy as people spend money accumulated through so much time spent at home. Most of it is out of his control, however, he's taking measures there too. Gas prices are already coming down and with an appropriate fiscal policy (like rising interest rates) inflation should adjust. Some of it is inevitable due to corporate greed as well.
Of course health care is all about the money. It's interesting to me that people are just realizing this now, or only talking about it now. We have a for profit system. People die every day because they cannot afford the care they need. But people have to think critically about this. It's in Biden's interest to wipe out the pandemic ASAP. If he doesn't, he's finished. (Republicans do not have the same incentives because due to the Electoral college, voter suppression, gerrymandering, and the new biased state election laws, they generally do not have to answer to the people.) Viruses don't announce in advance what treatment they will respond to. I don't think they are hoarding some treatment. It's simply not in their interest to do so.
Say what you want about the vaccine now, the variant from a year ago was much more responsive to it. His speedy distribution of it - which was sorely lacking - saved thousands of lives this time a year ago.
He's working hard to repair our reputation abroad with key initiatives like trying to revive the JCPOA so Iran doesn't wipe Israel off the map. Or an east coast city. I hope it's not too late. It might be.
Of course we need BBB. It's basic safety net stuff - paid leave, better access to health care, child care, clean energy, lower taxes for most people with higher on the super rich, etc. The fact that the PTB got most Americans to believe we do not need this or deserve it while every other civilized country has most of its contents already is the greatest propaganda coup in modern history.

I’m actually speechless at this response . I read this aloud to my husband and he simply said “we’re f$ckd”. I’m willing to bet you never sat through a basic economics course.
I’m not going to address everything but inflation is caused when too much money in an economic system is chasing too few good/services. Biden’s unnecessary financial injections into economy caused this. Plain and simple.’

It's really scary that anyone can be this delusional. I truly blows my mind and I hope that most people who think like her are the minority because if not we are truly effed. I'm confident most Americans are aware of how horrible this president is at least thats what his polling numbers reflect so there is some hope
To answer the original question one year into his presidency and:
COVID is worse now than it was in 2020 even with multiple vaxs and a booster
The price of everyday goods including the food we need to eat to sustain ourselves has skyrocketed essentially wiping out any boosts in salaries people may have gotten
The price of oil has skyrocketed
Student loans - never going to go away despite his promise to wipe out $50K for each American...I know that lots of people feel misled about that.
Record number of people illegally crossing our borders in the height of a pandemic in a country already suffering with supply chain issues.
Tyrannical vaccine mandates for a vaccine that doesn't work... thankfully for the most part the courts have overturned this however for some that lost their jobs, the damage is already done.
Supply chain issues up the wazoo..first world problems for sure but a problem nonetheless
His whole platform of build back better is pretty much dead in the water.
He promised to unify America yet it seems like there is more division than before. The only thing that seems to be uniting most sensical Americans is that the Biden/Harris administration is a huge failure.
The list is endless. The next 3 years can't go by fast enough.

Well... there's tons of jobs out there! You know, due to the labor shortage. We had a candidate ask us for $80k a year when they were FAR from qualified and were currently making $35k a year and they had the balls to say, well I know the market puts me in demand right now so I think $80k is fair.

None of the jobs “created” under Biden were his doing. All of these jobs that were created are recovered jobs that were lost during the pandemic. Lying by numbers.

It's very scary. That is why we are 2 years into a virus and still having mandates and people still believing "the science" and thinking we need to take 3,4,5 vaccines while they are laying in bed sick as a dog.

Wow. I have no words. You are entitled to your opinion but most of this is not accurate.
This country is burning to the ground, we have a dementia patient who just this past week alone both implied we would not stop Russia from taking Ukraine AND publicly called a reporter a son of a *****.
People cannot find groceries and when they can they cannot pay for them.
The jobs claim is ludicrous. Businesses were shut down for so long they downsized and are just now starting to rehire, and other businesses fired workers for not getting useless shots. These jobs available were not created by Biden.
BBB - they tout the nice stuff but nobody knows what wasteful pork is in that bill. Especially the people voting on it.
Covid cases and deaths have been worse than ever. Women’s rights are in the toilet. Crime is at an all time high.
Since Trump was mentioned, I will mention him again. Can you IMAGINE what would happen if all this were happening under him?!

Re: Biden one year in-how’s he doing?
I think the whole entire government sucks!!! It’s all about tit for tat and one big high school drama!!
I will never place blame solely on any President except probably Trump. (Yes I brought him up). And only him for his inability to keep his mouth shut when needed. I know most want to look past his immature child like tweets and posts but that caused so much damage.
Also every party blames the opposite party and last presidents. Let’s not act like when trump was In office people were not like well it’s better than when Obama was in office. Same shittt happened when Obama was in office people were like well when bush was in office. It’s the never ending cycle of comparing every thing to a previous President either stating how things are better or worse.
