Big boy bed

We are having alot of trouble getting our DS to go from the Crib to the big boy bed..We have the crib in a different bedroom for now, waiting for the new baby to come.We are trying to get him to stay in the new bed, but he is up, and walking around the house and coming in our room every 5 minutes..And then says he wants to sleep in crib...Any suggestions? My son is 2 today, so we were going to make that a goal...

I did what Supernanny did when she had kids that got out of bed. I just kept putting him back into his bed when he got out. It took a while to get him to sleep but eventually he understood that I wouldn't let him sleep in my bed or get out of his own.

I also used a gate in his doorway, so he wasn't walking all over the house.

Thanks..I will try that tonight with the gate.
He seems to wonder around house, and puts tv on..
