It is with great excitement The Paramount announces that BILLY JOEL is performing tomorrow - Wednesday, October 16th @ 8pm! A portion of proceeds shall benefit Long Island Cares - The Harry Chapin Food Bank. Tickets go on sale today at 12 Noon EST. There is a 2 ticket limit per person. Well, if you don't get the tickets, you can always tune in to "Piano Man" Sundays from 2PM to 3PM and Thursdays from 1PM to 2PM on Long Island's 90.3FM or over the web at http://tunein.com/radio/WHPC-903-s29403/
It's 100% commercial-free (no one makes a dime from it) and the only radio show in the entire world devoted to the music of Billy Joel. And, of course, I'm the host. Shameless plug, I know, but I haven't mentioned it on this site in like 5 years.

That;s what I've been saying!!! I've NEVER experienced this - not for Billy before, not for U2, not for Police, not for ANYONE. 15 minutes, sure 20 minutes, definitely, but not within 1 minute (really less)

Over 50 tickets already listed on Stub Hub...starting at over $400 each! Stinks that so many people are able to get tickets only to sell them and make a huge profit, and its not people buying tickets because they are fans and want to go see the show

My friend got two tickets...she's the only person I know! I couldn't be at the computer until 12:15, so obviously it was too late by then. I knew it would sell out super-fast, but not in the same minute the tickets went on sale!

Plus the fact that the show is for charity, so the tickets will sell at insane prices and mark-up and the charity will not see it, the sellers will.

I know that pisses me off.. there should be rules against things like that..Stub Hub should stop the sale of tickets that are meant for charitys..make it ilegal or something. If I were Billy and saw someone making money of my charity event that would make me real angry!

The ones I'm seeing start at $600 each and up up to nearly $1900.
