I had a great experience at Bing, met great friends and met my DH. What she wrote makes HER sound like an ignorant creature. There are some impoverished areas near the univ. that really benefitted from having a larger univ nearby (obviously she is not one of the benefits). And wait until she 'grows up' and becomes a townie where ever she is...those writing skills of her aren't going to take her very far

Ehhh, she's entitled to her opinion but feel if she was so unhappy with the lifestyle and culture she should have done something about it and moved on. She's just whining about the town the and one aspect of the social life of the school. She mentions nothing about the friends she has made, the education she received, and the invaluable experiences that happen in and out of the classroom.
I graduated from BU in '98 and loved it. The town and gray skies are not a surprise to anyone who decides to go there. Those aspects had no influence on my experience. I had a great education, met wonderful friends and had invaluable experiences that I will never forget. I look back on my college experience very fondly and believe college is what you make it, not the other way around. I did the greek thing and frequently visited the popular bars at the time and have tons and tons of stories and memories that will last a life time!
