Binky question
When did everyone start weaning their baby from the binky. My son only really takes it when hes tired to get him to sleep. Also, how did you wean them? THanks!!

Re: Binky question
with ds #1 I took it away about 10mos however ds #3 is 10mos and I tried only once to take it away and he was not ready. I will try about one when he is making his change to a cup instead of a bottle.

Re: Binky question
DS is 2. He used to be a full-time binky user (had it in his mouth all day long), but we weaned him from it when he was about 1.5 years old. He still uses it when he sleeps. To wean him during the day, we cut a hole in the binky and he immediately lost interest. We'll probably do the same when we cut out the bedtime binky.

Re: Binky question
My DD never took one but my older son did and weaned after 2 years. He gave it up no questions asked in one night. My DS #2 uses one now, based on my DS #1, I'm not worried about it.

Re: Binky question
DD is 18 mths and just uses one at naptime and bedtime, I will wean her at age 2, probably just take it away all together and go cold turkey. Im nervous that she will stop sleeping through the night when we do though.

Re: Binky question
We planned on taking Kaitee's away at 1 year. She only used it to sleep and in the car. When she was almost 13 months old I was putting her down for a nap and she gave me her paci and I never gave it back. almost 2 months later we had another DD and she knows that the paci's are " the babies".
