Birth certificate and Social security card question
Do you need to do something to receive these 2 things after your child is born or do they automatically send you them?
How long does it take to receive these 2 things?

You should have completed the paperwork at the Hospital before you were released.
It took about 5 weeks to get them in the mail.

It took about 5 weeks to get them in the mail.
Yes to paperwork at the hospital.
We got our SS card a week after DS was born, but didnt get our Birth Certificate until i would say 7-8 weeks after DS was born

we filled out the paperwork at the hospital and had both within a month i'd guess.
