Birth certificate question
Does that come in the mail or does the hospital give it to you? How long after your child was born did it take to receive this?
What about SS card? How long did it take to receive this?

We filled out the forms at the hospital and they both came in the mail a few weeks later.

I received the birth certificate on Fri, so he was 12 days old, and I received his SS card today, and he is 15 days old.

Both came in the mail and I think we had them both by the tme he was 3 weeks old. It was pretty quick, but it depends on the hospital that files the forms.

We received both in the mail; we filled out the paperwork at the hospital and had to submit it before being discharged. We received her BC 2 weeks after she was born and her SS card about 3 weeks after she was born.
