birth control question
Have any of you had problems with being on BC and high blood pressure? Did the docs take you off BC?.... put you on HB meds? What did you do?

Yes. I just went in May to get my bcp renewed and they told me they would not until I found out if I had high bp. Well, I did and the dr. said I should stop right away. I was put on bp pills and within a few weeks of going back my bp went down.
Since I had to go off the bcp's, my dh had a vascetomy last month. I hate that my periods are longer and I am more crampy but I had no choice and was not interested in any other bc.

bcp can cause high bp in some people and if it is no longer at a healthy level, the dr usually takes them off that pill

I only found out I had high blood pressure when I was pregnant, I was on high bp med during pregnancy. Since it never went back down, I am now on a new bp med and doc wont prescribe bcp, so I got a diaphragm, its too difficult, so for now its just condoms
