Birth Control question

So I started BC a few months ago. Before that I wasn't on anything. My periods would be 3 - 4 days. Usually the 2nd day was heavy and done by the 3rd.
Now on BC I get it on the Wednesday when I don't take the pill, but it's literally a day. Kinda makes me nervous I get it light for about a day.
1 Tampon is enough then I'm done.

I know I should be happy about this, but kinda makes me wonder too if it's normal being on BC.

Thanks!

You don’t ovulate or build much of a lining when you’re on the pill. The thinned lining is a fail safe in case you have breakthrough ovulation- even if you ovulate and an egg is fertilized, it cannot implant.

I would be more concerned about a heavy period on birth control. A light period is normal and expected.

Ahh.. Ok, thank you.
Was asking bc I was on the pill for years back when I was young. lOL
I do remember it being light, but I remember having it 2 - 3 days. Not just 1 and yes, it was light then,

Thanks!

Are you on the same pill?

I recently went back on the pill after having an iud for 2 years, the same pill I was on before I had DD. I had to switch to a different one because I had breakthrough bleeding, meanwhile I went years without a period before DD. So even if it’s the same pill, having kids and aging can affect the way your body reacts. I’m VERY upset to be getting a period!

No. A different pill. Lower hormones. Pill I was on I started around 18 - 19 years old and on till I was about 31 years old. Wasn't on anything and had 2 kids and we are done having kids, but I'm afraid of getting tubes tied bc I've heard nightmare stories and of course DH says he'll do it, but that won't be till I go into menopause by the time he actually does something. Figured the pill I can control. SO far it's been fine. I like knowing when I'll get my period. Don't mind remembering taking the pill either. I keep it by my coffee machine, which I take every morning. LOL (in the cabinet of course by my usual coffee cups)

That is one of the things I miss about the pill! Took my 7-10 day periods down to 1-2! And super light! When I was on the pill I used lite tampons, now I have to use super plus! Enjoy it!

LOL I have never been on the pill but man that would be nice.
My periods are like a full freaking week.
Like super heavy day one and then after that I don't need super plus anymore and it's not heavy like that anymore but man does it hang on and linger.
For like at least 5 days, sometimes more.
Annoying AF

I don't even mind getting a period but come on, can we move it along please?

LOL

I must be a freak of nature. I was on the pill years ago and my periods were 1-2 days and not super heavy.

I am on it now and my period is heavy and last 4-5 days although I really don’t experience any cramps now thank god. My dr said it’s normal after having children. The only good thing is I know almost exactly to the hour my period begins (it always begins at about 2pm on the 2nd day of the green pill).

On the pill AF comes same day every 4 weeks, is so lite and lasts 3 days. Love it! When I was not on the pill it was a week and heavy ...hated it.
