Birthday at Pre school
DS will be three this year and I will be making cupcakes for him to bring into pre school to celebrate his birthday (actually is on a weekend). Is it customary to bring in other things like plates/napkins, favors? I know I need to check with the pre school for certain cake mix brands to use because of peanut allergies. He is my first child so this is all new to me:)

Re: Birthday at Pre school
Im a pre-k teacher. The parents usually just send in the treat. I have napkins in my room that I give them to put the treat on. You could send in cheap dollar store napkins or plates. The children all bring their regular snacks so they drink their own drink from their snack and if they don't want the treat or are allergic then they eat their own snack as well. Our school has a no goody bag policy for birthdays. HTH

I made cupcakes and just brought them in. No plates or utensils. The school provided them.

Re: Birthday at Pre school
Thank you all I will do cupcakes ( will have a curious George figure on the cupcake) and Curious George napkins to match. They serve juice so I gather they have cups and will not need plates.

Birthday at Pre school
I just want to add that I called my preschool today about this bc my DD's bday is next week and they told me ONLY STORE bought stuff is allowed. So we cant make anything at home. She said its a precaution bc of allegies and stuff (they need a label to know excatly what is in it). They said most schools follow this now.
