Birthday Party
How old was DC when you left them at a birthday party? DD is 6 all parents go to teh parties I got an invitation today from one that specifically said Drop off and pick up time. I don't know the mom and its at their house. I am not sure I am comfortable leaving DD at someone's house I don't know.

Re: Birthday Party
DD was invited to one that was worded like that, and I also didnt really know the mom well when she was 6. I called and asked if it was OK for me to hang out...she said sure, because a few others had asked the same. Maybe you can do that?
My DD is almost 8 and I still havent dropped her off at one. Most of the parents stay because theyve been at places and only for an hour and a half. I would think next yr (when she is in 3rd grade) I may drop off...

Re: Birthday Party
My DS is in 2nd grade and I have never dropped him off, simply because he's never bed invited to that kind of party. But I would be totally fine with it . I tend to stay at all parties because I socialize with my friends while he plays. The vast majority of parties he goes to are my friends kids of kids he's friends with from school and I'm friendly with the moms.

Re: Birthday Party
My daughter went to her first "drop off" at 6 yrs old in 1st grade! I knew the mom a little from being with her at other parties for other kids - so I wasn't worried!

Birthday Party
Haven't yet.... DS is 8yrs old; in 3rd grade. If this was a family I was super close with/familiar with- Id consider leaving him at their house.... Def. not a stranger or a public place...
