Birthday Party Mid November??
We were planning on doing DD's birthday at our house. I really don't want to spend $$ on having it at an outside place. I was thinking of renting a bouncy for the kids however I"m not sure if it's too cold for that in the middle of November. What do people think?
If no bouncy any idea what to do with about 15 kids in my house to keep them entertained? Thanks.

I definitely think it's too cold for an outdoor bounce house in November. How old are the kids? I would do some kind of craft with them.

I agree to cold for bouncey. Set up a few craft tables. Kids love crafts the rest of the time the im sure the kids can entertain themselves lol.

I don't know. They aren't babies. I think they can handle a bounce house in 50-60 degree weather. Just give the parents a heads up so they are dressed appropriately.

This! If they were babies younger than 4 I'd say no, but that age I think it's ok. At school the kids go outside for recess for about 20 mins a day unless it goes below 40. Parents can keep an eye on the kids from inside. As long as there's activities inside to keep them occupied as well I think it's fine.

I'd rent a magician instead. I think a good one will cost same as a bounce house & you will get him inside or out. November tends to be rainy (in my mind).

I wouldn't chance it- it could go either way and be 60s or be 30s. I mean, look at this week!

Re: Birthday Party Mid November??
I don't understand why people don't want their kids outdoors in 'the cold' - I can understand it when it's below freezing - but November? Put on a jacket and go run outside and play! I'd totally do it !! -
But my kids have been in daycare since they're babies and I HATE when they are in a warm, heat pumping room with 15 - 20 other kids and all of their germs just multiplying .......gross! They NEED that fresh air.

Birthday Party Mid November??
I was thinking about doing that at first too for my girls November birthday. I would do it and like someone else said just let the parents know. Kids love being outside.

Birthday Party Mid November??
Thanks everyone. After discussing it over we are just going to do it. We are renting the bouncy and I'll also get some crafts for back up.

I would make sure you tell the parents it's an outdoor party so they can make sure their kids bring hats, etc. if it's chilly out.
