Birthday party on Saturday and 8 kids still haven't RSVP'd
So I invited DS' entire nursery class (23 kids!) to his birthday party. Invites went out in mid-February. RSVP date was Saturday. It's at a party place, not my house.
I still have not heard from 8 kids (including the son of the class mother ). Do I assume they are not coming? I don't know the parents at all. Most have nannies and some are full-day kids (DS only goes half-day) so I don't see them at pick up.
I'm inclined to just let it go and not follow up with them or anything. Am I right? The invites went in the mail so I assume they got them.

I'd assume they were a no. I learned that the first time I invited a bunch of kids from DS preschool/daycare to a party. Only those that were coming responded yes, the others just ignored the invitation.
Thats why I don't do those "everyone in the class" party invites. We stick with a few kids who they can name as their friends.

Re: Birthday party on Saturday and 8 kids still haven't RSVP'd
I wouldn't necessarily assume they are a no - last year we invited DD's whole preschool class. By the RSVP date all our non school invites had RSVPd and only 2 in her class had (so we were waiting to hear from about 9 kids). I ended up just saying once day when everyone was talking - did anyone get DD's invite? They all said yes- and in fact almost all said they were on the fridge they just forgot to tell us that they were coming - so all but 2 kids in her class ended up coming.
