adult-friendly kids party place for 2nd birthday
DS is turning two. We have absolutely no room to have a party in our house unfortunately. So I'd like to have it at a kiddie place. But I need a place that has room for and welcomes adults too. Given his age, there will be more adults than kids I'm sure. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Forgot to add - I live in Farmingdale, so I wouldn't want to go too too far away from there.

Re: adult-friendly kids party place for 2nd birthday
We had DS 2nd bday at a bowling alley, it was SO fun, the kiddies loved it. The adults could hang with us and have pizza and soda or they could go into the bar while the kids bowled.
It was a really good time with plenty of room to spread out.

Re: adult-friendly kids party place for 2nd birthday
Would you have it at a kiddie place like Gymboree or My Gym? Or maybe a place like Chuck E Cheese?
Those places are big enough in terms of space but it isn't exactly adult (childless) friendly. Adults will most likely be standing and eating/hanging out.
We are also having a 2nd birthday party at a kiddie place in Manhattan. We are inviting mostly kiddies and their parents but I'll also be inviting about 10 childless couples. They can choose to come or not.

DS has never been bowling, but it's definitely an interesting choice given the range of kids ages. I'm just not sure if it will hold his attention or not. Which bowling alley did you have yours at?

I would consider My Gym or Gymboree. I just didn't know how welcoming they are of adults.

It's definitely a different feel than if you had the party at a restaurant or hall.
We are having a morning party so we are going to order pizza for the kids and probably some cold cuts/pasta for the adults. We had an adult 1st bday party and decided to go the kiddie route for the 2nd birthday.
I was never invited to a kiddie place when I didn't have kids but I would probably have thought it was cute.

Re: adult-friendly kids party place for 2nd birthday
Thanks for the help. We also had a more adult-centered 1st birthday party, but won't be doing that this time around. Gymboree's website said they'd accomodate one adult per child, that's why I was wondering if there were any places that didn't care too much. Thanks again!

I'm looking into My Gym in stony brook, check them out. I'm going tomorrow for a free class to see what's it's about and if DD will like it.

Smithtown. Its quick, its an hour and half party, so between bowling, cake, pizza, it moved pretty quick and held the attention.
They have little ramps the kids roll the balls down so that at their age they are able to do it themselves.
