Birthday present question
My 3 kids, going into 2nd, first and kindergarten were all invited a birthday party at Sky Zone. It is for a little boy in my daughters grade, first grade. We met them in September and became friendly with the mom and her two boys one who just graduated 5th and the other who is going in to first grade. My daughter was not in his class and my younger one was on this boys soccer team. We have met them at spray parks and even just at the park. That being said she invited all 3 of my kids. How much do I give for a gift? I usually give about 25 dollar gift card per child. I was thinking of 25 towards the movies, and then maybe having my other two kids pick out a game and monster trucks at Target. Do I have to spend exactly 75? I also have the same issue on another day where twins in my older sons class invited us all to a birthday party. Im going broke over birthday gifts. THanks so much!!

Re: Birthday present question
No you don't have to spend $75 - I would give your usual gift card plus a smaller gift or just up the gift card to $40 -

Birthday present question
You definitely do not have to spend $75. A $50 gift card would be nice. Or a nice toy and a $25 gift card.

Re: Birthday present question
I personally would spend $75 or close to it. I typically give $25-30 when one of my children are invited, and $50-60 for both of them.
The host is still paying for all 3 of your children to attend, so I would be gracious in my gift.

Re: Birthday present question
I spend more then my 2 kids were invited to a party. I don't think you need to spend $75, but I would spend at least $50 because it is 3 kids.

Birthday present question
for me... its a KID'S birthday party, not a wedding or other event like that. i don't think you need to "cover your plate" for all 3 of your kids. BUT if all 3 of them are going, i would spend a little more than you usually do. like if you usually spend $25 when one kid goes, i would spend $40/$50... so a little more, but definitely don't need to spend $75 for a kid's birthday gift, especially one thats not a special neice or nephew or other very close friend's kid...

Birthday present question
Thanks everyone for all your ideas. My son is insisting I go to Target tomorrow so he and his brother and sister can pick out a gift. Im thinking 40.00 movie gift card and something for outside or even a game. I know I don't have to spend 75.00 it is way too much and I have only known this boy for a short time, he was not in any of my childrens classes. I also have to buy a set of twins a gift that my 3 are going to the next day. It is a very expensive weekend.

Re: Birthday present question
I do a $20-25 gift card per kid (I have 3). $25 is more when they provide dinner (like at a house party).

Birthday present question
I usually spend around 20 on a gift. I would probably just spend a little more on the gift and add a gift card as well
