Birthing classes at Huntington Hospital?

Is anyone taking the free classes over at Huntington Hospital (Prenatal, Infant Care, etc.)? Or has anyone taken them yet?

I will probably start taking them this week (although I will probably end up taking them without DH since he is already taking a bradley class with me and its very hard on his schedule). Just wanted to hear about what they were like, or maybe meet up with anyone who may be taking them in the future.

i took the infant care one and it was pretty good. the nurse was so nice, but again, it's a lot of common sense: how to baby-proof your house, etc. but then again, i work with children as my job, so it wasn't anything new to me. hearing her talk about useful things to register for was helpful...and all the stuff out there that you don't need!

I do plan on attending the breastfeeding class and a few others. I need to look at the list and the dates.

the nurse suggested that you call in advance to register for the infant CPR class and the tour of the maternity wards. i believe those two things are offered on SAturdays.

We took the classes but that was almost 3 years ago. I thought they were worth while when we took them.

I took all the classes in 2007. For the most part they were informative, and worth going to.
