Birthing/Lamaze Classes
I got a couple of flyers from my OBGYN but I'm wondering where you ladies took your classes and how much they cost and if it was a good experience. THANKS!

Re: Birthing/Lamaze Classes
I took mine this weekend at NSUH. It was a one day, 8 hour course, and it was $175.00 for the two of us. I definitely felt like it was a great experience-- the instructor was very knowledgeable and I feel so much more prepared now!

Re: Birthing/Lamaze Classes
Ours is at Southampton Hospital. Two nights, 6-9pm and $150 bux. I thought it was worth it.

Re: Birthing/Lamaze Classes
We haven't taken it yet, but we're going to have a lady come to our house. It $200, but because of my DH work schedule it is worth the extra $$ because she will work around our schedule.

Re: Birthing/Lamaze Classes
We took it our doctor's office. I honestly, don't remember the price, I want to say around $125 or something???
It was pretty informative. It was good to see the hospital and learn little things like when to call the doctor and where to go in to the hospital depending on what time you go in. I wound up with a C-section, so I really didn't use any of the breathing techniques

Re: Birthing/Lamaze Classes
We are signed up at NSUH since this is where I am delivering. It is $175 per couple. New Baby Belly also offers a class given in Seaford at Behr's .

Re: Birthing/Lamaze Classes
Funny you should ask this question. I was just thinking how I wanted to ask the same question. One of the partners I work with told me they had someone come to the house and it was 1 or 2 classes and was around $200. Maybe we can get a discount if we both do it together :)

Re: Birthing/Lamaze Classes
Mine was in my doctor's office. It was one long day, and cost $195. I'm glad I went. It reinforced what I had been reading, and I feel more prepared (as much as I can be with my first) having had someone discuss all these things with me.
