Black Friday sales starting already?
Did anyone else here about this? I just saw a commercial saying they where having a black friday sale this weekend?

It's not even Halloween yet, but many stores are already thinking about Christmas. Black Friday, which is usually the day after Thanksgiving is happening early this year, at least for one local retailer.
Christmas music and displays have been in stores for a week or two already. Now, Sears is taking the holiday shopping season a step further by offering Black Friday sales a full month ahead of time.
"A great portion of the merchandise for the Christmas season is already out," said Larry Sims, who was looking for deals at Sears Towne West in Wichita on Thursday.
Shoppers at Sears and other stores at Wichita's Towne West Square are finding themselves amid Christmas displays already. Some are taking it in stride, but others say it's way too early. Black Friday sales typically offer huge discounts for Christmas shoppers, but Sears is taking the position that some consumers have a tough time buying all those things in one day.
"The way the economy is, people are trying to get ahead of the game a little bit," explained Rodney Furr, Sears Asst. Manager. "Some people might not have enough money to pay for it all at once."
Sears is planning to extend Black Friday throughout the next month instead of just one day.
"Stuff that you get the day after Thanksgiving, you're going to be able to get now all the way through until the day after Thanksgiving," Furr said.
It is going over well? That's what we asked Larry Sims.
"The economy is driven by small business," Sims said. "Sears, whether they have their Black Friday early, that's not going to make them or break them."

I think it is great too - especially in this economy.
I started shopping for Christmas over the summer, if I saw a great deal I picked it up and put it away. I am pretty much finished shopping for DS.
