black patent w/a pink dress????
I have a pretty pink dress for DD to wear today. Do you think black patent leather shoes would go? Or is that way to harsh of a color contrast? I should have gotten white, but I had the black shoes from xmas (which she didn't wear because they were way too big!).

I would have to see the dress to say for sure. Is there any black in it? Is Target open? They have cute white shoes for $9.99.

It's not. I went yesterday & the shoes I bought don't fit. I just spent time in the attic going through bags of handme downs.
I think if it's all you've got you're fine. White would look better though.

I love black patent for little girls....from fall through spring! It's a classic and you can't go wrong with it IMO.

Thanks everyone...I know white patent would be so much better, but I just kept forgetting to buy them...and at this point I just I'll just have to make do. The dress does not have any black in it...its all a very light pink. Oh well. I'll get her dress and if I think it just doesn't look right, she'll go shoeless...as usual

thats what I was going to suggest...try them on and see if it ruins the look of the pale pink dress. if so, just have her go shoe less!!! My DD never wears them either haha

I think its fine. Ive had to improvise somewhat myself today bc of the weather and its not ideal but you cant always have the perfect outfit KWIM? I think pink and black go fine anyway. With spring and Easter of course white seems to go best but IMO its not worth worrying about. Im sure she'll be cute no matter what.
