"Blank slate" party location
Dd will be turning 1 in April (how is that possible already?!). I would love to find a hall where we could host a party but I could bring my own food. I was also hoping to find a place that was more of a "blank slate" so that I can decorate and really make it look special. Prefer not to have the wood paneling and scary bathrooms that you typically find in a lot of these halls. Somewhere clean and simple where we can "make it our own" without spending an arm and a leg. Does anyone have any suggestions? Would prefer eastern Nassau or western Suffolk.
I appreciate your help!!!

Port Jeff may be too far east for you but I think it's a few hundred to rent the community center which is on the water, it's bare inside but nice water views.
My friend has a shower there.

check with your town. See what facilities they have for rent. MUCH cheaper than a private place too!

Just as an FYI, we held ours at a fireman's hall, but they had rules that you couldn't hang anything on the walls, so we couldn't decorate as much as we wanted.
