Bleeding after internal??????

Well, I had my 38 week appt yesterday. Good news is that I am 2 cm dilated!!!! My doctor also said my cervix is "favorable" for the induction which is good news cause I always wanted my cervix to be favored (hah). She is happy with the progress. Oh and she bumped my induction up to Sunday evening.

However, I did experience a bit of bleeding after the internal, it didn't worry me that much cause I knew what to expect and it had tapered off by the night. But, I am bleeding a bit again today. Could this be the start of something? Or should I wait it out? The only thing that is worrying me is that it started up again this morning and it is somewhat heavier than the normal "spotting"; it more resembles a menstrual period.

I have no noticable cramps and don't seem to be contracting painfully, just some more intense Braxton Hicks.

I had my first internal yesterday at 38w and I was having spotting yesterday and a very little today but not heavy like a period.

I spotted for two days after my internal last week.

My dr told me it is normal to have some bleeding/lose some mucus plug/bloody show. I have had 2 internals and had none of the above

At this point, it is a much darker really really light spotting, so I am guessing it is coming to an end. It is practically non-existent so I am going to relax a little bit about it.

I bled after my 38 week internal.

If your bleeding has subsided then you should be in the clear, but when you say 'menstral-like' bleeding I want to tell you to call your doctor just to be on the safe side.

I can't wait until those internals... wierd I know. As of sunday, Scone will officially be 'full term' I'm curious to see what my status is down there......

first one I believe is tomorrow!
