bleeding really bad-after unsuccessful IUI
so, I'm out this month. Tried injectable IUI's but got AF yesterday. Today is day 2 and I am bleeding really bad- TMI but I have gone through about 8 super tampons today to the point where it leaked through onto the pad.
I don't know if this is normal. I've only had a really heavy period like this once before a few months ago but even that one, I bled very heavily maybe through 3 tampons. This is much much more.
I don't know if this has anything to do with all the follies and meds or anything..
And i'm supposed to go tomorrow for my day 3 sono & bloodwork to try another IUI cycle.
I don't know what the heck is going on down there.
Has anyone experienced this before

First off, 
I have never done an IUI, but after my two failed IVF cycles, I had very heavy bleeding. I went through like 4 super tampons in like 4-6 hours and I had never had to use a super tampon before in my life!
Were you on progesterone and/or estrogen? That thickens up your lining so you have more to get rid of after a medicated cycle.

I am so sorry!
I an speak of IVF after a failed cycle AF would be extremely heavy for the first 3 days. It's definitely one of the side effects of progesterone.

I'm sorry your going through this. I'm actually in the same boat as you- day 2 of a monster AF. I was going to come on here to ask the same question, but you beat me to it lol. The nurse at my RE warned me that AF might be heavier than normal due to the progesterone, and it may last longer than normal.
Don't have any advice, but best of luck on your next cycle

thank you girls...I actually attempted to call the emergency# at my RE's office but had to hold for a while so I figured you are all my best source for info ;)
I can't even imagine having to get a sono tomorrow if its anything like it was today

I'm sorry! The only time I had this was after my chemical. It was horrible! My cd3 sono was gross. I felt so disgusting and I felt bad for the tech  DH was with me and I was kind of mortified. Thankfully it does end and hopefully it will not last much longer. Sorry!!! You are not alone.

I'm so sorry!!! My first AF after the first medicated cycle I had the same thing. So heavy and so gross! I was on progesterone that month too. Did some research online and found out it is not uncommon. Definitely mention it to your RE when you go though.
