blinds or curtains for dining room?

i bought a double curtain rod for the dining room and i want to do sheer white and then striped panels (i can't find a pic, they are tan, white and blue striped. the room is Nantucket Fog, it's a blue color.)

this is a look i typically see in bedrooms and living rooms, do you think it would look strange in the dining room? it only has one window, so i want to keep it as light as possible.

I believe it's "dbleplay17" that has a tan and blue DR with curtains. Maybe you can ask her. I'm not 100% sure that it is her though. Maybe try searching for DR's or blue rooms or Blue paint. I'll see if I can find it.

I think it would look really nice with the sheers and curtains. Go for it.
