Block Island w/ a 10month old?

Hi!

Have you ever been to Block Island? Hearing its a must-see from my boss but wanted to get your feedback.

Any resorts or places to stay you can suggest would be greatly appreciated.

thanks!

I am not sure but I thought no cars were allowed on the island.
If so, it may be hard to get around with a baby.
Again- I have never gone- but that is what I heard.

There are two ways to get to BI from LI:
- Ferry from Montauk but its walk-on only
- Ferry from Orient to New London and then take another ferry from New London to Block Island which allows you to have a car

Its really beautiful and one of my favorite places. There are a bunch of hotels and B&Bs but I always rent a house for the week. The rentals are pretty chear (relatively speaking) and I find it better with the two kids.

I've been wondering as well. Would you mind telling me where you rent from? Is it a website, realtor? Thanks!

I have been there a bunch of times and yes it is very beautiful but not sure it would be the top of my list to go with DS. to take a car you have to take the ferry from New London or Pt Judith.

Getting around on island without a car is by taxi or bike. We always brought our bikes. Not tons to do with a small kid except beach when there. We would go out there and beach it, shop and drink.
